While not Bel Ami's best, Cherries is - for the most part - a tasty and pit-free treat. Twink-a-dink-a-do! Join a gaggle of fresh-faced Bel Ami scamps as they cavort across the sun-dappled Eastern European landscape while popping each other’s buttcherries.
The film consists of several well-shot vignettes that each begin with a pair of plucky pups explaining (with English subtitles) how they met. After the chitchat, things take a decidedly carnal turn as ripe glutes and quivering rectum raiders begin to fill the screen.
The sweetness can get cloying at times, but the sex is generally worthwhile. These boys have learned to give and take like they mean it (unlike many other Eastern European offerings). Verdant scenery and excellent cinematography ensure that your eyes won’t wander. Contains four scenes from Cherries, one scene from Frisky Summer 3 and once scene Lukas' Story 2. (The other two scenes from Cherries are on the DVD of Frisky Summer 3: Wild Strawberries.)
With a couple of exceptions, these boys are real lookers, and they also sport hefty sex stalks between their steely thighs. If you’re looking for even a smidgen of kink or raunch, forget it - this is pure vanilla all the way. ("Ripe for picking", according the the boxart.)
A dreamy jazz soundtrack combined with the boys' playfulness
makes these sexual couplings seem as cute and innocuous as petting a kitty.
